Tzatziki is a traditional Greek recipe. Tzatziki is cooked on the basis of thick yogurt and cucumbers; it is better to serve such an appetizer (sauce) cold, garnished with olives and tomatoes. In Cyprus, this appetizer (sauce) is called talaturi, unlike the Greek recipe, it contains mint and less garlic.

Recipe Ingredients

Yogurt 200 ml
Cucumbers 200 g
Garlic 4-5 cloves
Dill 0.5 bunches
Olive Oil 5 tbsp

Cooking Recipe

To cook a recipe for Greek cuisine tzatziki, wash cucumbers, cut off the peel, grate on a coarse grater. Drain the water from the cucumbers and combine them with yogurt. Squeeze garlic into yogurt with cucumbers, pour in olive oil, vinegar, salt, add chopped dill and mix well.

Transfer the tzatziki to a salad bowl and garnish with olives, tomatoes and herbs. tzatziki is served cold as a separate dish, as a spread on bread, or used as a sauce (dressing) for salads.
