Green Tomato Salad - a recipe for Georgian cuisine, the salad is prepared with walnuts, but they can be added just before serving. Green tomato salad is very simple and quick to prepare. Within a few weeks, the salad can be served as an appetizer or in addition to the main course.
Green Tomato Salad Ingredients
- Green tomatoes 1 kg
- Bell pepper 200 g
- Hot pepper 100 g
- Onion 300 g
- Cilantro 1 bunch
- Garlic 30 g
- Walnut 20 g
- Vinegar 9% 40 ml
- Vegetable oil 100 ml
Green Tomato Salad Recipe
For a Georgian cuisine recipe green tomato salad, peel and finely chop the peppers and onions.
Wash the tomatoes, cut into cubes and squeeze out excess moisture. Pound the garlic in a mortar with salt and cilantro until gruel. Also crush walnuts in a mortar.
Pour vegetable oil into a deep roasting pan, place all prepared foods there and simmer over medium heat for 20 minutes. At the end of stewing, pour vinegar into the green tomato salad, mix and arrange in sterilized jars.
