Recipe Ingredients

Wheat Flour 750 g
Water 400 ml
Potatoes 750 g
Butter 50 g
Vegetable Oil 1.5 tbsp
Salt 1.5 tsp

Cooking Recipe

To cook placinda with potatoes, mix flour with salt, pour vegetable oil into the water. Knead a tough dough of water and flour. Divide the resulting dough into 4 parts and let stand.

Peel and cut the potatoes into small slices. The finer you cut the potatoes, the faster the pies will bake. Roll out a thin layer of the dough, put the raw potato filling in the middle, a slice of butter on top. This is to ensure that the inside of the potatoes is not dry.

Cut the edges of the dough, not reaching the filling, into 8 petals. Connect the dough petals to the center and press down a little.

Fry the placinta prepared in this way in vegetable oil over low heat under a lid. Fry on both sides for about 7-10 minutes on each side. The finished placinta should crunch and still be juicy.
