Brynza vertuta pastry – a recipe of Moldavian cuisine, vertuta is somewhat reminiscent of Bulgarian banitsa, vertuta is also cooked from thin rolled dough and rolled into a spiral.

For the recipe of Moldavian cuisine veruta with cheese pour water into the sifted flour, add butter, eggs and knead the dough. Divide the dough into 5 parts, roll into balls, cover and set aside for 30-40 minutes.
On a floured board, roll out the rested dough to the thickness of paper. After the layers of dough, grease with oil and overlap each other.
Grate the cheese, if necessary - salt, sprinkle the dough with cheese and roll into a roll.
The roll, in turn, roll up in the form of a spiral, place the prepared vertut on a greased baking sheet, brush with egg and place in a preheated oven to 180°C (355°F). Bake veruta with cheese for 25-30 minutes. Brush with melted butter after baking.
