Spinach and feta gözleme is a Turkish recipe, a simple yeast dough that is rolled very thinly. Fillings of cheese and spinach, minced meat and potatoes are wrapped in such a dough, gozleme with triple filling is also very popular - minced meat, cheese and spinach.

Recipe Ingredients

Wheat Flour 400 g
Water 200 ml
Dry Yeast 1 tsp
Cottage Cheese 150-200 g
Vegetable Oil 2 tbsp
Salt 0.5 tsp
Sugar 0.5 tsp
Spinach 1 bunch

Cooking Recipe

For the recipe gözleme with cheese and spinach, mix the sifted flour with sugar and salt. Dissolve the yeast in warm water and pour into the flour and knead the dough. Cover the dough with cling film and leave in heat for 30-40 minutes.

Wash and chop the spinach, not necessarily finely. For gozleme, you can use cottage cheese, only it needs to be slightly salted, you can also use cheese or Feta. Crumble the cheese.

Turn the risen dough onto a floured board, punch down and divide into 8 pieces. Roll each piece very thinly so that you can read through it. Gozleme are formed in several ways, a simple one is to put a small amount of spinach on one side of the cake, sprinkle with a little cheese, cover with the other half and press.

Another way is to fold the edges of the cake on both sides to the center, put the filling in the center and fold the other two edges to the center overlap, it will turn out like an envelope, compress gözleme around the edges, squeezing out the air.

Heat the frying pan, grease with oil, lay out the cakes and fry from the spirit of the sides, for about 1-2 minutes. Then brush with butter and serve hot.
