Eggs 1 pcs
Water 2 tbsp

Cooking Recipe

In the cooking of these buns, saffron plays a large role, which gives color and aroma. If you do not have saffron powder, you must crush it in a mortar with a piece of sugar.

Dilute the yeast in 4 tablespoons of warm milk. Melt the butter, pour in the milk and add to the diluted yeast.

After driving in the egg, add sugar, salt and ground saffron.

Mix well, gradually adding flour. Knead the dough and set aside for 30 minutes.

When the dough is suitable, divide it into 25 parts, and roll it into a sausage about 10 cm long. Let the dough go a little further and after 10 minutes stretch the sausages 2 times longer.

Collapse the sausage as in the photo, insert one raisin on both sides.

Place the saffron rolls on a greased baking sheet and let it come up, grease it with egg and water grease from above, and place in the oven, previously heated to 200 °C (390°F).

Bake saffron buns for 15-20 minutes, and then put on a wire rack and let cool.
