Pizza Margherita - an Italian pizza named after Margherita of Savoy, the main ingredient of the filling of this pizza is tomatoes.

Pizza Margherita cooked easily and quickly according to a simple recipe of Italian cuisine. Dough for pizza Margherita can be bought, or you can cook it. To cook the dough, dilute the yeast in warm water and mix with sugar, salt and olive oil. Gradually add flour to knead elastic dough. Cover the dough with cling film and leave in heat for 30-40 minutes.
While the dough is rising, you can prepare the pizza topping. Canned tomatoes cut into slices and put in a heated pan with oil. Then add chopped garlic to the tomatoes. In a mortar, grind the basil with a little salt and pour into a pan with tomatoes, salt, pepper, mix and simmer over medium heat for 20 minutes. When the tomato juice thickens, add tomato paste, mix and cool.
Roll out the risen dough, put on a baking sheet. Spread canned tomato sauce in an even layer on top of the dough, then a layer of sliced fresh tomatoes, then sprinkle with grated cheese and bake. Bake pizza at 200°C (390°F) for 20-25 minutes. Sprinkle pizza Margherita with fresh basil leaves before serving.
