This recipe is the basis of gris-halva. Often ground nuts are added to halva, you can also add dried fruits or candied fruits. If your children do not like semolina, try making gris-halva for them - maybe they will change their mind.

For the gris-halva recipe, you need to fry semolina until golden brown in vegetable oil. In a separate bowl, boil the syrup with the addition of lemon zest and ground cinnamon.
When the cereal is fried, add butter and boiling syrup. Mix everything well and cook for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Ready gris-halva, put it into molds and cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar when serving.
