Onion 1 pcs
Garlic 3 cloves
Red Wine 50 ml

Milk 2.5 cups
Wheat Flour 2 tbsp
Butter 2 tbsp

Cooking Recipe

To prepare moussaki, wash the eggplants, cut into slices, about 0.5 cm, salt and set aside for 10 minutes. After that, squeeze the eggplants and fry in oil on both sides.

Chop the onion and garlic and fry in the same pan where the eggplants were fried.

Add minced meat to the fried onions, season with salt, pepper and, stirring occasionally, fry with wine. Fry the minced meat for 10 minutes.

In a separate bowl, melt the butter and fry the flour in it, and stir in the milk without stopping.

Cook over medium heat until thickened, add ground nutmeg at the end. Remove sauce from heat and stir in beaten eggs.

Put a layer of eggplant and half of the grated cheese in a baking dish.

Then put a layer of minced meat on the eggplants, etc.

Wash the tomatoes and cut into not very thin slices. Put the tomatoes in the last layer.

Pour the sauce over the food and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.

Place moussaka in an oven preheated to 180°С (355°F) and bake for 35-40 minutes. Serve the moussaka hot.
