However, the Americans were able to make it a recognizable and beloved product. A hamburger consists of several products that can change, but a hamburger cannot do without a cutlet or without pickled cucumbers. Do not be afraid that the recipe has so much vinegar, believe me, you will not feel this acid in the hamburger. Cucumbers make the taste of the hamburger much brighter, this can be compared to a combination of seafood and lemon. Do not pour lemon on seafood, and they will become bland, the same with cucumbers in a hamburger.

Recipe Ingredients

Cucumbers 1,6 kg
Onion 4 pcs
Sugar 660 g
Turmeric 1 tsp
Dill 40 g
Salt 6 tbsp

Cooking Recipe

The recipe for hamburger cucumbers is very simple. Wash the cucumbers and cut into thin slices, approximately 0.5 cm. Peel the onion and cut into half rings.

Place cucumbers and onions in a deep bowl, add salt and mix. Cover cucumbers with film and refrigerate for 4 hours.

After 4 hours, the cucumbers and onions will release a lot of liquid. Place the onions and cucumbers in a sieve and let the excess liquid drain.

Grind hot dry pepper into flakes. Pour vinegar into a saucepan, add sugar, red chili flakes, ground turmeric and mustard seeds. Mix and put on medium heat, stirring occasionally, cook until the sugar is completely dissolved.

When the sugar dissolves, put the cucumbers in the marinade, add finely chopped dill and stir. Cook the cucumbers, stirring occasionally for 2-3 minutes. Transfer the finished cucumbers to sterilized jars, cover with lids and cool. You can eat cucumbers no earlier than 48 hours later, but it is better to let all the flavors combine for about a week.
