Tomato ketchup - Jamie Oliver's recipe, this ketchup can be stored in sterilized jars or bottles. This ketchup goes very well with french fries, when cooking try ketchup, if you want it to be spicy - just add hot pepper.

Recipe Ingredients

Tomatoes 1 kg
Onion 4 pcs
Garlic 4 cloves
Tomato Paste 2 tbsp
Sugar 200 g
Hot Pepper 1 pcs
Ginger 5 cm
Basil 1 bunch
Fennel Seeds 2 tsp
Coriander 2 tsp
Clove 4 pcs

Cooking Recipe

For the recipe of Jamie Oliver's tomato ketchup, wash the tomatoes and cut into large wedges.

Onions for ketchup are better to take blue. Peel the onion and chop finely. Put the chopped onion into a frying pan with a little oil and fry over low heat.

Grind fennel, coriander and cloves in a mortar.

Finely chop garlic, pepper and ginger. If there is no fresh ginger, you can use dry ginger in the amount of 1 tsp.

Mix chopped vegetables and grated spices and add to lightly fried onions, salt and pepper.

Add chopped tomatoes, chopped basil stalks, tomato paste, vinegar and sugar to the onion and mix. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

After the time has elapsed, add the basil leaves, remove the ketchup from the heat and stir.

Transfer the ketchup to a food processor and grind into a puree, and then wipe through a sieve. Ready tomato ketchup put into sterilized jars or bottles and cork.
