Potatoes with onions - Jamie Oliver's recipe, this is a kind of potato pie stuffed with onions stewed in balsamic vinegar. In order for the potatoes to cook faster and better in this recipe, they must first be boiled until half cooked, drained, and then laid out in layers in a baking dish.

Recipe Ingredients

Potatoes 1 kg
Onion 2-3 pcs
Butter 50 g
Olive Oil 2 tbsp
Thyme 1-2 twigs

Cooking Recipe

For the recipe of Jamie Oliver potatoes and onions, peel the onion and cut into half rings. In the heated oil, add thyme, onion, salt, mix and fry over low heat.

Pour the balsamic vinegar into the pan with the onion, add the butter and simmer until the onion is soft.

Peel the potatoes, cut into circles 0.5 cm thick and boil in salted water until half cooked. Drain the potatoes in a colander and let the water drain.

Prepared potatoes pour 2 tbsp. olive oil, mix and cut in half. Place half of the potatoes in the bottom of a baking dish.

Put the fried onion on top of the potato layer and smooth it out.

Cover everything with a layer of potatoes, lightly press down, pepper and place in a preheated 180°C (355°F) oven. Bake potatoes with onions for 45 minutes or until potatoes are crispy.
