Hot cross bun – a British cuisine recipe, cooking of such a bun is very interesting. Lush, with the addition of muffin and candied fruit, the hot cross bun simply cannot but like. There is nothing complicated and long in making a bun; a food processor can easily knead the dough for an hot cross bun. Ground cinnamon and nutmeg, as well as candied fruit, add the aroma of an hot cross bun.

Recipe Ingredients

Wheat Flour 600 g
Milk 300 ml
Butter 100 g
Ground Cinnamon 0.5 tsp
Sugar 2 tbsp
Eggs 2 pcs
Nutmeg 1 pinch
Dry Yeast 2 tsp
Salt 1 pinch

Cooking Recipe

To cook a British cuisine recipe hot cross bun, soaked candied fruits in water.

Grind flour with butter into crumbs.

Dilute the yeast in warm milk, add sugar, salt, spices, slightly beaten eggs and mix.

Combine the mixture with ground flour, add candied fruit and knead the dough. Cover the finished dough for hot cross bun with a film or a towel and put in heat for 1 hour.

Divide the dough into buns with a diameter of approximately 5 cm and lightly press the buns on top. Put the buns on a baking sheet after sprinkling it with flour, make a cross-shaped incision on top, cover and put in heat for 30-40 minutes.

2 tbsp mix flour with 5 tbsp water, mix the cornet with a thin nozzle. Put the mixture into the incisions of the rolls and put in the oven preheated to 180°C (355°F). Bake hot cross bun for 30-40 minutes.
