Roast beef with apples - a Chinese recipe, apples go very well with beef, they give the beef juiciness and flavor. Juicy, aromatic apples with a sweet taste are well suited for roast beef. Sour apples will prevent the beef from opening, and you should not use soft apples in the fried beef recipe - they will simply turn into porridge.

Recipe Ingredients

Beef 400 g
Apples 3 pcs
Onion 2 pcs
Salt 1 tsp
Soy Sauce 3 tsp
Rice Wine 4 tsp
Caraway 1 tsp
Ginger 2 cm
Vegetable Oil 3 tbsp

Cooking Recipe

For the recipe roasted beef with apples, wash the meat, remove membranes and sinews and cut into small cubes. Peel apples and cut into cubes slightly smaller than beef. The beef will shrink when frying, and in order for all the pieces to be approximately the same size in the finished dish, the apples need to be cut a little less.

Add apple peel to beef, salt, pour 2 tsp. rice wine, mix and set aside to marinate for 10 minutes.

Peel the onion and cut into the same pieces as the apples, finely chop the ginger.

In a frying pan, heat 2 tbsp. vegetable oil, put beef without apple peel in a pan and fry over high heat until golden brown. Remove the fried beef with a slotted spoon, and add the remaining vegetable oil to the pan.

Add cumin to the pan, stir, and when it starts to crackle, add beef, ginger, onion, soy sauce and mix. Then add the onions, chopped apples, the remaining rice wine to the fried beef, salt, mix and cook over high heat, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.

Ready fried beef put on a dish and serve. To make it beautiful and unusual, fried beef can be served in an apple or lettuce.
