Jam shortbread tart is a recipe of Belarusian cuisine, grated dough gives the pie an interesting surface, and each time a different pattern is obtained. You can take any jam you like.

Recipe Ingredients

Wheat Flour 3 cups
Sugar 1 cup
Butter 250 g
Powidla 6-8 tbsp
Eggs 2 pcs
Soda 0.5 tsp

Cooking Recipe

For the jam shortbread tart recipe, grind the sifted flour with softened butter into crumbs. Then add soda quenched in vinegar, salt, eggs and knead the dough. Wrap the pie dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30-40 minutes.

After the time has elapsed, remove the dough and divide into two equal parts. Roll out one part and lay it on the bottom of the prepared baking dish. The height of the bottom layer of dough should not be less than 1.5-2 cm.

Put the jam in an even layer on top of the dough layer. Grate the second part of the dough for shortcake on a grater with large holes and cover the jam layer with it.

Put the prepared shortcake with marmalade into a preheated 230-250°C (450-480°F) oven and bake for 40 minutes.
