Choban-govurma - a recipe for Azerbaijani cuisine, if you don’t like lamb, you can replace it with beef

Recipe Ingredients

Lamb 200 g
Onion 1 pcs
Potatoes 2-3 pcs
Bell Pepper 1 pcs
Tomatoes 2-3 pcs
Cucumbers 1 pcs
Ghee 2 tbsp
Meat Broth 1 cup
Cilantro 0.5 bunch

Cooking Recipe

For the choban-govurma recipe, wash the meat, remove the membranes and cut into small pieces. Salt and pepper the chopped meat. Remove seeds from peppers, peel onions and potatoes. Cut all vegetables into cubes.

Heat the ghee in a frying pan and fry the chopped meat on it until a crust appears. Add prepared vegetables to the fried meat, pour in the broth, cover and simmer until the vegetables are ready.

When serving choban-govurma, sprinkle with finely chopped cilantro.
