Pea soup with carrots – an Indian cuisine recipe, so that the peas are well boiled, they are salted after cooking, and not during boiling.

Recipe Ingredients
Dry Peas 210 g
Water 2 l
Carrots 4 pcs
Vegetable Oil 4 tbsp
Greens 2 tbsp
Ginger 2-3 cm
Hot Pepper 1 pcs
Turmeric 0.5 tsp
Caraway 1.25 tsp
Salt 1 tsp

To cook a pea soup with carrots recipe, sort the peas, rinse and cover with hot water for 5 hours.

Peel the carrots and cut into slices or cubes.

Cut hot pepper in half, remove seeds and chop finely. Grate the ginger and prepare the rest of the spices.

When the peas are swollen, put them in a colander, let the water drain, put them in a saucepan and fill with water.

Add grated ginger, finely chopped peppers, turmeric, coriander and 1 tablespoon vegetable oil to the water with peas. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover and cook for 1 hour.

After the time has elapsed, add the chopped carrots and cook for another 30 minutes.

Heat the remaining oil, add cumin and fry until brown.

As soon as the caraway is fried, immediately pour along with the oil into pea soup, add salt, add chopped greens, stir and let it brew for 1-2 minutes, and then serve.
