Thin dough pies with feta cheese (Sigara börek) - a Turkish cuisine recipe, feta cheese is wrapped in a very thin dough, pre-oiled.

Recipe Ingredients

For Dough
Wheat Flour 400 g
Milk 200 ml
Eggs 1 pcs
Salt 0.5 tsp
For Filling
Eggs 2 pcs
Mint 2 tbsp
Butter 1-2 tbsp

Cooking Recipe

For the sigara börek recipe, beat the egg into the milk and beat lightly. Mix flour with salt, sift and, gradually pouring into milk, knead the dough. Cover the prepared dough with cling film and let rest for 15 minutes.

After the dough is divided into 4 parts and rolled out very thinly, as thick as tissue paper. Separately prepare the filling.

Lightly beat the eggs, mash the cheese with a fork and mix with the eggs and finely chopped mint, mix and season with salt and pepper. Cut the dough sheets into 3 strips, grease with melted butter.

Put a little filling on one edge of the dough, tuck it from the sides and twist it into a sigara.

Line a baking sheet with baking paper, lay out the pies and bake for 20 minutes in a preheated 180°C (355°F) oven. Serve pies warm.
