Potato samsa - a recipe for Indian cuisine, the thinner the dough is rolled out, the tastier the pies will be.

Recipe Ingredients

Potatoes 4 pcs
Ginger 1-2 cm
Hot Pepper 0.5 pcs
Vegetable Oil 5 tbsp
Cilantro 3-4 twigs
Cumin 1 tsp
Green Peas 2-3 tbsp
Garam Masala 1 tsp
Cashews 10 pcs
Raisins 2 tsp
Turmeric 1 tsp
For Dough
Wheat Flour 2 cups
Cumin 1 tsp
Vegetable Oil 4 tbsp
Water 50 ml

Cooking Recipe

For fried potato patties recipe, mix flour with cumin, salt and vegetable oil. Grind everything with your hands into crumbs, and, gradually adding water, knead a smooth dough. Cover the prepared dough and set aside for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare the pie filling. Wash potatoes and boil in their skins. After boiling the potatoes, cool, peel and cut into small cubes.

In a saucepan with a thick bottom, heat 2 tbsp. vegetable oil, add cumin and fry for 10-15 seconds. Add grated ginger, finely chopped chili, green peas, cashews and raisins to the pan. Mix the mixture and fry for 2-3 minutes.

Add potatoes, finely chopped cilantro, garam oil, turmeric and salt to the pan. Mix everything well, remove the pan from the heat and cool.

Divide the dough into pieces weighing approximately 50 g. Roll out a thin oval-shaped layer from each piece, cut the layer in half. Roll each half of the cake into a cone, fastening the junction with water. Put the filling inside the cone, close up, form a conical pie.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, fry samsa on it from all sides until golden brown. Serve samosas hot with green chutney and tomarin sauce.
