Liver cake - a recipe of Ukrainian cuisine, if you want to surprise your family and friends, make a liver cake according to this recipe. How delicious is this cake? Light, airy with the addition of white cabbage, which gives lightness to the cake and removes the sharp taste and smell of the liver. To make the liver cake more useful, the cream for it is maked not from mayonnaise, but from sour cream with the addition of grated carrots, mustard, lemon juice, salt and pepper, and this, believe me, is no worse than mayonnaise. To make the liver cake even tastier, you need to put it in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours.

Beef Liver 1 kg
Potatoes 300 g
White Cabbage 300-400 g
Wheat Flour 300-400 g
Chicken Eggs 3 pcs
Onion 150 g
Soda 2 tsp
For Cream
Carrots 400 g
Cucumbers 200-300 g
Lemon Juice 1 tsp
Mustard 2 tsp
For Decoration
Carrots 1 pcs
Cucumbers 4 pcs

Cooking Recipe

To cook recipe of Ukrainian cuisine liver cake peel and chop the onion, chop the cabbage, peel and chop the potatoes, wash and chop the beef liver. Next, mince all prepared products through a meat grinder.

Add flour, soda, ground black pepper, salt, soda and eggs to the minced liver. Mix everything well until smooth and let stand for 15 minutes.

After the dough for the liver cake is infused, heat a frying pan with a diameter of approximately 20 cm and pour in a small amount of vegetable oil. Pour 2 scoops of dough into a frying pan with oil and fry on both sides under the lid. You need to fry the cake layers on medium heat, and even better with a divider so that they do not burn and bake well.

For the cream, peel the carrots and grate them on a fine grater. Mix sour cream with grated carrots, mustard, sprinkle with lemon juice, salt and pepper.

Next, we apply the cream on the liver dough cake, sprinkle with chopped cucumbers on top and cover with the next liver dough cake. From liver cakes, you can make not one, but two or three cakes.

When all the cakes are laid, grease the liver cake on all sides with cream and then you can decorate.

You can decorate the liver cake as you like, for example, you can cut cucumbers with a paring knife, and stick around the sides of the liver cake. Cut the carrots in the same way and put on top. After cooking liver cake put in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours, and then serve.
