Recipe Ingredients

Wheat Flour 250 g
Sugar 100 g
Milk 100 ml
Butter 100 g
Dry Yeast 1 tsp
Eggs 1 pcs

Raisins 25 g
Saffron 1 pinch
Ground Cardamom 1 pinch
For Glaze
Egg White 1 pcs
Lemon Juice 1 tsp

Cooking Recipe

For the Royal Easter cake recipe, you first need to prepare the dough. Dilute yeast in warm milk, add 1 tsp. sugar, 2 tbsp. flour, mix and put in heat for 30 minutes.

In the meantime, sift the flour and rub it with the chilled butter. Add egg, yolk, sugar, saffron, cardamom and vanilla sugar to the pureed mass. Mix everything well, add the dough and knead the dough.

The dough for Easter cake should not be steep. After kneading, put the dough back in heat for 30 minutes. Knead raisins and candied fruit into the dough that has come up. Line a cake tin with parchment paper, grease with oil and place the dough on 1/4 of the tin. Put the form in heat for 1 hour, and then bake.

Bake Easter cake in a preheated oven at 180°C (355°F) for 40 minutes. While the cake is cooking, you can prepare the glaze. Whisk egg whites into a fluffy foam with lemon juice, gradually adding powdered sugar. Take out the finished cake from the oven, let it cool, and then apply the icing. When the icing is half-hardened, decorate the cake with candied fruits.
