Plăcintă pie is a savory layered pie based on a Moldovan cuisine recipe. At first glance it may seem that this dish is difficult to prepare, but it is not.

For the Plăcintă pie, knead an elastic dough with water, flour, eggs, butter and a pinch of salt. Set the dough aside for 30 minutes. While the dough is rising, prepare the filling for the pie.
Finely chop the onion and mix with boiled and chopped eggs. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater and add to the onions and eggs. Pour finely chopped greens, pepper, salt, sour cream and mix.
Divide the risen dough into 3 pieces. On greased baking paper, roll out a layer of dough approximately 30 cm, lay out half of the filling and level it, not reaching the edge of 5 cm. Put a rolled dough circle on top of the filling, but of a smaller diameter than the first, and again lay the filling over the entire dough.
Roll out the third part of the dough and cover the top layer of the filling. Raise the edges of the bottom layer of dough and pinch with the top layer. Brush pie with butter and bake at 200°C (390°F) for 30 minutes.
